The Fat loss 4 Idiots diet is based on an idea called "calore shifting". Calorie shifting works by re-distributing your daily intake of calories so that you eat smaller meals but more of them. The idea is that you continue to eat a healthy amount of calories but you spread them out over 4 to 6 meals instead of the standard 3. If you eat this way, they say, your body will begin to store less and less fat and you will start burning the fat you currently store.
